In 2013 LGMS was employed through a subcontractor to JVInkai (Canadian/Kazakhstan JV) to lead a small group of engineers in progressing or developing up to 22 projects that had been on the books for a long time but for various reasons were stalled or had not happened.
Employed by Worley Parsons on secondment to Sorsk Molybdenum mine in 2008, LGMS was employed originally to project manage approximately $260 million of upgrades within the old process plant and refinery which were in a very poor condition.
In 2001, while employed by Clough engineering, and waiting for Boroo goldmine to be funded, LGMS was appointed as mine manager for the reopening of the Miitel and Wannaway underground nickel mines near Kambalda in Western Australia.
While working for Clough engineering, LGMS was contacted in 1999 to complete the design and estimation for the Boroo Gold Mine in Mongolia. After several versions we were then asked to manage the construction component of the project also.
